1. Bay of Citara

2. Sant’Angelo

Another beauty not to be missed during a trip to Ischia is the Sant’Angelo area.

Sant’Angelo represents the most elegant and fashionable area of all Ischia. Preferring only a part of it would be limiting: every corner of this municipal area releases an almost surreal grace. This district is also very small and therefore can be visited on foot and in a few hours. Walking through its white streets will give you the impression of having ended up in an old 60s film. In fact, in Sant’Angelo, everything has always remained stuck in the years when it was just a small fishing village.

3. The fumaroles

The Fumarole beach is another fundamental point of interest. On this beautiful stretch of sand, located halfway between the Maronti beach and Sant’Angelo, natural phenomena of volcanic origin occur. Ischia is in fact an island formed through a series of volcanic phenomena and today the territory is still curiously marked by them. Arriving at the Fumaroles you will be able to observe the emanation of gas from some parts of the soil. In fact, the sand is incredibly hot in some places.

4. Sources of Nitrodi

One of the most important attractions of the island are the thermal establishments. In fact, Ischia is full of thermal water springs: among these we cannot fail to mention that of Nitrodi. The waters of Nitrodi have been famous since ancient times, so much so that in Roman times the place became a place of pilgrimage and today the site of an important spa centre.

5. Mount Epomeo

6. White Lace

Another destination worth mentioning for those who love to explore the mountains are the so-called ‘Pizzi Bianchi’.

These are the little jewel that Ischia hides behind the green hills of Serrara Fontana: these are tuff peaks that reach about 6 meters to be explored through adventurous trekking routes.

7. San Francesco Bay

The Bay of San Francesco is also found in Forio and is another beach you absolutely must see. This charming cove is located a few kilometers from the port. Its charm lies in the crystal clear waters and in the promontory of Punta Caruso above which gives it a secluded atmosphere.

8. Lacco Ameno

Lacco Ameno is to be reached for the nightlife. It is a very lively municipal area which, in the evening, illuminated by a thousand signs and populated by tourists, becomes a real show.

9. La Mortella Gardens

The La Mortella Gardens are one of the prettiest green areas on the island and are located in the municipality of Forio. Here you can stroll among colorful flowers and tropical plants.

10. Aragonese Castle

Finally, how can we forget the Aragonese Castle, which stands on the village of Ischia Ponte. This beautiful building, freely inspired by the Maschio Angioino, welcomes visitors throughout the year.
